MeterWise is built as a high-precision, offline-first utility bill estimation utility. Your privacy is a priority. This Privacy Policy describes how your data is handled when you use the MeterWise iOS application.
MeterWise does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal information, utility meter readings, billing cycle details, or location settings. All data entered into the application remains strictly local to your device and is stored using standard iOS local storage (UserDefaults).
MeterWise periodically fetches the latest public utility rate structures from a secure, public GitHub repository. No personal identifying information, IP addresses, or device identifiers are permanently logged, transmitted, or associated with your utility calculations during this process.
If you choose to contact us or report a problem via our optional, external support forms, any details you voluntarily submit (such as email addresses or written feedback) will be used solely for diagnostic and customer support purposes.
Because the application does not collect any personal information from any users, it is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and reflected in the effective date above.
